We offer a variety of manual therapies, including Remedial, Therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Reflexology, Sports, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, and Pregnancy massage, with the possibility of extending beyond these categories.
To ensure a personalised experience for each session, we conduct a consultation beforehand. Your preferences and well-being will guide the treatment, ensuring a uniquely tailored experience just for you.

Junko (Junco) Kobayashi, a qualified massage therapist, is excited to introduce her new venture – JK Manual Remedy, located in the heart of Nelson city. Committed to continuous growth and dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of the local community, she eagerly seeks further knowledge and expertise in her field.
- Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) Level 7
- Member of Massage Aotearoa New Zealand
- Bachelor Degree in Therapeutic and Sport Massage (New Zealand)
- Diploma in Remedial Massage (New Zealand)
- PGCert in Applied Health Science (Wellness and Rehabilitation, NZ)

Booking & Cancellation
If you are currently in your first trimester of pregnancy, have any serious medical conditions, or wish to make a booking for a person under the age of 16, please speak to the therapist before booking online.
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy, please let us know as soon as possible if you have to reschedule or cancel your appointment to avoid a cancellation charge. For the first short notice cancellation or no-show, no fee will be charged, but it will be recorded in your client record. For any subsequent short notice cancellations or no-shows, a charge of 50% of the fee may apply.
Payment Options
Payment can be made on the day of treatment with cash, internet banking, or a physical credit card (Visa or MasterCard – surcharge applies). EFTPOS is not available. JK Manual Therapy is also a Southern Cross Easy-Claim Provider.
Southern Cross Health Insurance
JK Manual Therapy is a Southern Cross Easy-Claim Provider. If you are Southern Cross Health Insurance member, you may be able to claim your remedial massage therapy sessions with us through easy claim with your membership number.
